Tears of Loss, Tears of Hope

Posted 04-26-2008 at 01:31 AM by HisServant77
Well it's 1:30 am here. A half hour after I dropped off the last youth student at her house before heading home from the play Beyond the Grave with Luke.

The play was wonderful. The entire youth went up for the alter call. Of course, it consisted of me and two other young girls bringing up the rest whom we knew needed to go. The youngest, Derek, I think he was really touched at the alter call. He didn't want to go up, but I grabbed his arm and told him point blank "You know what"

But, I'm in tears right now. For Luke. He really needs prayer. He needs to truly feel the love of God, and truly feel His Presence. I talked to him on the drive home about something I said to him a while back that he never responded, so I brought it up on the drive.

Please, please pray for him. I'm just in tears for him right now. I am praying, and setting something before me that I will not cease, until Luke comes to the point that he has a relationship with Christ. It's got to be serious now . . . And I know God will hear, as He has already heard . . . and He doesn't ignore or decide not to answer. . . .

Thank you so much for your prayers, Jt. It seems the devil is now working to make me feel as though "all is lost" with Luke, and the whole feeling like no one else cares for him to help him know Christ Jesus. It's the devil I know, but it's a fight of faith to just continue onward, as we all know!

Hang in there brother. A friend of the family prayed for over 30 years for my dad. He gave his life to Christ a few years ago. I do pray that Luke would come to know the Lord sooner. You are a faithful witness planted seeds that only God can water. *hug*

Am still praying. Remember, Michael, you are planting seed and may never know its fruit but God's working through you with Luke, of that I have no doubt!

Michael, I am still praying too. God allowed me to help a young man, that when he came home from school, and found out that his dad had committed suicide. I was at a youth retreat and this young man was there, and I felt led by God to write him a letter and also offer him a shoulder to cry on. You see, I went theough a severe true depression a few years ago. Anyway, back to the young man, he did take me up on the one to one talk, and I shared how I was sure his dad loved him, and in those final moments, it was physically his dad, but mentally he was someone else. I told him I would always be there for him and would continue to pray for him. I felt it did help him, to know someone who understand what he was going through, but also could explain what his dad was going through too, but didn't know at the time, the full impact of the talk we had, and how it had helped him. Several months later I was talking to the youth pastor and he told me that this young man came to him after we talked and told him, about out talk and said it truly helped him, that it helped him to see his dad's side of it and that it also helped him get rid of the anger he had towards his dad for committing suicide and leaving him. I have talked to others along this same line and do not know if what we talked about has helped them. I am trusting God that I was able to help them, as always giving Him all the glory, but I was fortunate in knowing I did help one young man, but don't know about so many of the others, that God has led my way. Now God is working through me to help the individuals I work with to see Gods love. As you can see in my Blog, God is still working through me. God bless you, Michael. Hope I did not bore you or overwhelm you, because that was not my intention.
