Re: Religious rights vs Gay rights?? | | | | I think this is a victory yes,
I think it'd be ridiculous for work to force a Christian or any person, to do anything against their beliefs unless that was the exact line of work to where they wound up not doing anything ever (example would be something like a pro-life person, working at an abortion clinic . . . the pro-life person wouldn't be able to do anything there so it would somewhat be pointless to work there any longer). But in these cases, nothing is wrong with the Christian not doing this thing against her beliefs!
There was a story not too long ago about a Psychiastrist referred a homosexual couple to a different person for help, because it went against his/her (can't recall if it was a sister or brother in Christ) beliefs. I'm not sure if it turned out for the favour of the Christian, but honestly . . . the Christian WAS helping them out much better by referring them to someone else. If they got help from the Christian . . . it would end up having a Biblical worldview of their trouble and therefore they would be subject to that, instead of what they wanted. So . . .
It's just insane when jobs ask Christians to check their faith at the door, and in turn put on another faith (humanism, etc.) to do their jobs. No, sorry, I refused to do similar things at my old job, and Christians should stand firm instead of letting the world snuff us out, through fear or intimidation. I'm not saying be mean about it all, we should do everything in Love, but also don't compromise your faith!!! | | | | | |
