HElP please help someone?

I am struggling with swearing I know its sounds wired but i am struggling with. So can someone help me with this cause i want to stop but when i can't take it anymore one just comes out. Here is an ex : when i was on the computer & the internet goes down & i can't stop those pop-up ads so i couldn't take it so one comes out & another one & ect. How can I stop?!? Its like i have a drinking problem but its only with wearing & once you start it seems that you can't stop!
Help please! Help?

without God you can't do it. when i was in high school i swore a lot. it wasn't till after my oldest was born that i really tried to stop. i needed to seek God to change my heart.

I also have the same problem and what I was told by my Priest was to read the book of James.

James 3:5
Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

James 3:16
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

After reading this, I was able to see how wrong it is to swear but I still manage to spew out nasty words quite a bit. All I can do is pray about it and ask for the Holy Spirit to intercede and help me retrain my tongue.

Something that might help, as I know it has helped me (not in using profanity, but in controling my mouth period) is that I will fast from talking every so often. Whenever you are able to, take some time, maybe a day or longer, that you do not talk at all. If you have a hard time finding the time, then try to make a small amount of time, maybe at the end of the day or something when possible--to start it off.

This is hard to do of course because everyone talks, every day of their lives (for the most part) and even almost every hour of the day. But, to fast and refrain from talking, will help you out to control what you say because you will have to consiously think before you say anything. And you will have to bridle your tongue. It is great practice.

And yet, to subdue the flesh and the want to swear, it is good also to think and meditate, and repeat in your head the Word of God . . . those verses, Newt, are some good ones to use

Oh and yes, each morning it is good to be sure to pray before you even get out of bed, that our Father will help you to guard your words that they are not offensive or corrupt in any way.
