Rep Power: 1 ![]() | GOD Said No I asked GOD to take away my habit. GOD said, No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up. I asked GOD to make my handicapped child whole. GOD said, No. His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary I asked GOD to grant me patience. GOD said, No. Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is learned. I asked GOD to give me happiness. GOD said, No. I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you. I asked GOD to spare me pain. GOD said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me. I asked GOD to make my spirit grow. GOD said, No. You must grow on your own! , but I will prune you to make you fruitful. I asked GOD for all things that I might enjoy life. GOD said, No. I will give you life, so that you may enjoy all things. I asked GOD to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me. GOD said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea. THIS DAY IS YOURS DON'T THROW IT AWAY May GOD Bless You, "May the Lord Bless you and keep you, May the Lord Make his face shine upon you, and give you Peace.....Forever" "Good friends are like stars...You don't always see them, but you know they are always there. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | I thank God for saying "no" sometimes. We don't realize it at the time but God can see all and He knows what we need and don't need. Lord everytime I think about your Goodness, I smile and am full with joy and peace. Lord we love You and praise You!! Amen!! |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Man, I really don't like it when He says no when I'm feeling soooo right. It really sets me back thinking and praying about what His will is. This is an awesome read. I have something like it my bathroom, but I think it is time to move it again since it seems to again be just a plaque on the wall, not something one should seriously read and contemplate. Thanks for the reminder and renewal of these messages for us. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | the one that caught my attention is this one, "I asked GOD to grant me patience. GOD said, No. Patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is learned.", this is my version, "I asked GOD to teach me patience, so he sent me a woman who became my wife, God is teaching me patience, but HE also has a sense of humor!!" |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | Re: God said "no" Glad you enjoyed this!! He also sent me a very laid back step-son. He is a great young man, he was 15 when we got married, he accepted me from day one. I feel this is partly due to how I handled things, I ask my wife how he felt about us getting married(actually she wasn't my wife at that time, lol), and she said he was ok with it, I said that is good, because if he had been against it, there would be no use in getting married, because he would work us against each other. Also told her, that I would not come in and be a mean "old" step-dad, but wouldn't let him walk on me either. I taught him how to drive, he was more relaxed when learning to drive, with me, his step-dad, than he was with his mom. God bless you. |

Rep Power: 1 ![]() | You are blessed with great wisdom, Rick. Blended families are tough, I can attest to that. We all have the battle scars to prove, it I'm sorry to say. At least hub's and my kids all got along great. But going from a non-dad disciplined home to one that did was very very difficult and thank God, I mean really THANK GOD, that hub and I got married for the long haul no matter what. Most would have folded under what our family went through. |
