No you don't have to go to a Bible College. It is a calling from God. Listen to His word and not what people tell you. Pray about it.

Well, prayer is a first, and then seeking help from brothers and sisters, as you are doing now

Personally, with me, God has taught me leadership skills by establishing His Word in my heart. When we learn from His Word, we learn wisdom, and knowledge. We find out how to handle situations, and we learn boldness to stand for the truth no matter what, and we learn also how to TEACH that truth we have learned.

Prayer is a major thing though, pray each day, for the wisdom and guidance to learn and to grow in leadership skills.

With me, after Teaching me, and while still teaching me (as we never cease to learn more from His Word) God would have it be that I am constantly put in leadership positions, not by my own will, but God would just put me in those positions. This taught me by experience as well, testing what I have learned. God Bless you much, sister.

I realize that you do not have to go to bible college, but I personally would recommend it to anyone who had the chance to go.

I am going through a lay ministry program right now which I'm taking through my church it teaches you how to be a leader but I learn from God first I depend on his guidance at all times in the direction which I should go. As long as you stay in God's Word listened to his voice you will not go wrong and he well teach you how to be a great leader .... and I'll keep you in my prayers

I agree you don't have to go to college or bible college to be a leader. But you do need to be grounded in Him and truly know Him. Pray daily for wisdom and discernment in all that You do and He will supply the tools. Be organized and focused but be compassionate and caring. It is all a plan of balances. You can be strong and firm yet still loving and teaching. God bless you as you develop your gifts for Him to use.

Kind of like the job I have, you have to be firm but compassionate. The individuals I work with are mentally challenged, amongst a lot of other problems and even when you are firm, but you are showing them you care about them, it goes a long way.
