Well im a baptist.....

Lol since no one else has made a topic here i figured i would.
Im a baptist because i like the joy within the church (mines anyways). Going to church is something we look forward to and the people are all very nice. We focus on worship which i enjoy and we have live music as well. One thing i love about the baptist denomination is we dont belive we have the absolute truth we belive the truth lies between all denominations and dont see ourselves as better than other churches. We work with other churches a lot and i love that we are all one in the body of christ not all one in the building of a church. I dislike the fact that some look down on the belives of others if they belive jesus is lord he is the way to salvation and grace and worship him and hold to the scripture then there ok to me.

Cool, I go to a Baptist church too, yes it is good to be part of a church that is willing to join with other believers and just celebrate the love of Christ regardless of the label hung outside the door.

I am also a Babtist (former Nazerene). You are right Will and Steph.
When we were living in Wales, all the churches came together with the Salvation Army and had a ''soup run'' for the homeless. Every night of the week one of them went out with some soup and bread to look for these people. The Mount Baptist Church did it on Saturday nights. My daughter went out with 3 more members.

Hello! I'm Baptist also! Been for over 45 years.I've gone to many other churches,but I always come back to my Baptist church.I'm from Canada.We're made fun of for being so strick in everything.If anyone is against anything,people say"They must be Baptist". I don't care what they say,I love my church!

I am a Nazarene myself but I have attended Baptist Churches as well. I really like both of them ALOT but I managed to find 'my home' in our local Nazarene Church.

I go to non-denominational church, but I do love the baptist church. There is one denomination of the baptist I don't believe in, however. The one that says you have to be baptised in order to be saved. My mom attends a Southren baptist church, I love to go and sing all the old hymns.

I'm nondenominational as well. Well, as far as I classify myself that way anyway. I am blessed to be able to go to a full gospel nondenominational church as God allows

I have gone to a baptist church once when I went to Texas (Fritch). It was nice, I think though that many of the people unfortunately didn't have much zeal there (But I know that has nothing to do with the church itself, but rather, sadly the people themselves.) It was large and was refreshing to be around that many Christians.

Unfortunately I was very sleepy, from staying up all night watching out for different predators that may have wandered onto the land . . . seriously lol I was blessed to be able to help out a brother of ours, by staying up with him and watching. It was great, we were able to talk about our Lord all night long! He was the one who led me to the church there, and I went with him.

But the sleepiness I believe took away, just slightly, from the enjoyment. But it was wonderful fellowship

Hello jt, long time no see lol, I have been out for awhile and I decided to cruise by and see how everyone was doing. I came across this and wanted to comment if I could. I trust that your information is truth as I feel over the years that I have been amember here I have got to know you but I have the feeling that this post hit on something that is somewhat miss leading. I attend a Souther Baptist Church but consider myself a non-denominational Jesus Christ following Chrisitian. I have attened several different Baptist Churches and never has it been taught in any of them that you have to be baptised to be saved. Baptisim in a Baptist Church is a response to being saved in following with your acceptance of the gift with an act of obediance. While it is not required it is encouraged to be a testimony of our renewed faith. It is used a symbolic act to represent the death of our old sinful life and the rebirth of a new clean walk with the Lord. Baptist believe that salvation comes only through the grace of God...
