Default LWF.org Devotions

I get a devotion every morning from LWF.org which is a ministry started by the Late Dr. Adrian Rogers. I love the devotions and I like to share them so I fwd the devotions out to friends and family most days and try to share them here, I was thinking instead of starting a new thread each day I just might keep adding to this thread with a new devotion as I feel lead to share it.... any hoot just chattering away.
Enjoy
God Bless

BIBLE MEDITATION:
Romans 8:26 - "Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
There’s an old song with the refrain “Just keep on praying ‘til light breaks through.” When you don’t feel like praying, that’s when you need to. You need to pray until you do feel like praying. You see, you’re not praying by yourself. The Spirit is praying through you and for you, helping to present your petitions to the Father — petitions that perhaps you yourself are not even capable of expressing. Do not approach God with your hands full of the brass of your emotions. Rather, approach Him with hands and heart full of the sweet incense of His worth. Just keep praying.

ACTION POINT:
How's your prayer life? Do you say grace before meals and squeeze in a quick prayer before you drop off to sleep each night? Take some time today to talk to the Lord.

From LWF.org

BIBLE MEDITATION:
Isaiah 26:3 - "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee: because he trusts in Thee."

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
You may admit that God is necessary, but do you honestly know that God is enough and that He is, in fact, more than enough? To find out if God is enough for you, let me ask you a couple of questions. Where do you obtain your joy? Is it from the Lord or from somewhere else? If your joy is from your health and it goes, then your joy will fly out the window. Many a believer has lost his health, his business, his family, his reputation, but has still maintained his joy because the source of genuine contentment and peace is in God. Indeed, one may not know that God is enough until God is all one has.

ACTION POINT:
When was the last time you visited a hospital waiting room and shared Christ with those who are hurting? Maybe you could do that sometime this weekend.

when i first started my walk with the Lord Adrian Rogers was the light that guided me through some of the questions that I had about the faith as a whole and there are several sermons in particular that really drove home what being a Christian is. Adrian Rogers has since died but his ministry is still going and his message is still spot on.

BIBLE MEDITATION:
1 John 3:2 - "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is."

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
If Jesus is Lord of your life, then not only is your entire life ordered, but so is every single step within your life. God has a plan for the plumber as well as the preacher, for the mechanic as well as the missionary. And if, for instance, God calls you to be a mechanic and you become a missionary, you are accepting second best! To find God's will is the highest achievement in your life. Success is not spelled M-O-N-E-Y. Nor is it spelled F-A-M-E. Success is the continuous realization of the will of God - what God desires for your life. God does not make clones; He makes children! There is an ultimate purpose for your life as His child - to be like Jesus.

ACTION POINT:
Do you have children? Share with them these important insights about their future.
