I do not liked "planned" prayers, that are read word-for-word, but I do not see where there is anything wrong with having a simple prayer and you modify it with the persons name and modify it according to the needs of the person. Here is an example of what I mean:


Dear Heavenly Father:
I pray that you will reach down and touch Rick and heal him of his addictions, according to Your will. I pray that You will put a hedge of protection around Rick to protect him from satans darts. I pray that You will continue to bless Rick and his family. Please give an extra blessing to Rick. Please help him to keep focused on You. I am sure he is a very special man. Please send him some more Christian friends to help him in his daily walk. Please comfort him. We know You are awesome and You are almighty and that you are working in his life daily. Please help him to take comfort in knowing that You are still in control. I pray all these things in Jesus Name. AMEN!!


I did insert my name, to show you what I mean. Another thing I like to tell people, is that whatever we discuss in private will always stay between them and me and God, period. This is the way I do things in person and this is the way I do online. We need to build the trust, and not spread gossip, whether in person or online.
