Reputation: +23 | Satan and his Existence | | | | This ties in with the other thread I just created - The Holy Spirit and His Presence. I want to start a discussion and hear what everyone believes regarding the devil, Satan.
Who is the Devil? What does he do? Does he exist? Is the term Satan/devil merely a phrase/word for something more general such as absence of God, or general adversary/enemy?
Unlike the other thread though, we should be cautious when focusing so much on either studying or even informing regarding the devil. Put too much of your focus on the enemy and you can easily lose sight of God. It becomes easy to begin to glorify the devil and take away from God Almighty! Just a fair warning though. It's equally important to not neglect our enemy altogether too! Afterall, as the Word says in 2 Corinthians 2:11 " Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
So what are your thoughts? | | | | |
