what is there to do in your spare time?

i'm just curious what you guys do when you're broke and have no money for entertainment with friends or by yourselves(well, maybe $5ish)

i'm a university student from a small town, and i moved to a big city, and i'm wondering what there is to do in this world besides just going for coffee, or watching a movie. what do u like to do with your friends?

when I'm broke (90 % of the time) I like hanging out with my friends and go to a park and just talk and walk around. Close to my house there is this beautiful park with a lake and ducks.... I like going there.. :imhappy:

well when i'm at work and off there is nothing to do seeing as how i'm limited to space, i usually spend a little while here and e-mailing my wife, reading the bible, reading other books and well sleeping it doesn't matter if i got fifty bucks or zero, there is no where to spend it anyway.

when at home well spend the time with the family, videoing our pets doing crazy things and watching the video's of our pets doing crazy things. watch tv when something decent and good is on, which isn't often, pretty hum drum, but hey i'm not complaining at all.

love it all, isn't that right shell!!!!

Spare time- never heard of it.

Its been very hectic so I don't know that I really do anything, On my days off I have been working at our church, We are building a new one next to our exsisting one and its huge, we were hoping to have it done by easter but the city made us put in an elevator so we are looking more like May now. Also we have great cell group bible studies during the week and have some great freindships there.

being a mom and having only friends who are moms our favorite things to do would be to go get coffee with out kids.

do ya own a pair of roller skates/blades? you could go to the local park and skate.

Me and my wife are going to try rollerblading this summer. Or should I say, she's going to start rollerblading and I'm going to try to not look like a fool. :imveryhappy:

We live in northern MN, so 7 months out of the year are pretty much shot for doing things outside (since both of us hate cold weather). For our kid's sake, we're actually going outside to play in the snow with them.

I don't mind it that much, but my wife would be happiest in 80 degrees all year round.

Living on an Island during the summer we spend a lot of time at the beach, not very often swimming or sunbathing but having a kickabout or flying kites, and walking, you pretty much start walking and when you hit the sea either turn left or right and before long you will get back to where you started!

If you don't have much money I recommend having a pudding party at your local pub or cheap restaurant, forget the main course, everyone orders a pudding or ice-cream, everyone gets their own spoon and you basically have a bit of everything ! Forget the diet, it doesn't cost much, everyone has plenty to eat and it's fun. :imveryhappy:

When I am bored, do not have anything to do and no cash, I like to call up a friend to talk, watch a good movie that I have not seen in awhile, read books or my bible (awesome!), journal, look through pictures and remember old times, and sometimes I will scrapbook.

When I have nothing to do, I ask my brother Polo,if we can go to Starbucks like today.We really like to enjoy ourselfs.

My friends and I like to sit on couches and talk about God. No really! Most of us are majoring in Religion, so we discuss and debate a lot of things. It's fun. Other than that, we love to play games. We play a lot of card games and make up new rules and stuff. It's fun.
