I like working on the older cars.....

Before the smog and eletronic stuff.....

I have a 1964 ford truck being rebuilt......I do not have the time to do it myself...My priority's have changed.

Used to own a 74 custom built Ford van. It had a 64 Cobra engine in it.
At a idle that baby could shake your dentures out of your mouth.

Floor the peddle and it would be time to be looking for new tires. Big, Wide, N15 series tires. Had custom metal fenders welded to the body...real cherry (Excuse me CherryBlossom) :imveryhappy:

I would get a kick from all the hot heads that would pull up to a red light next to my van. I would be minding my own bussiness and then hear the car next to me rev'in their engine. I would rev mine (usually louder).

And then it would be on.

The light would turn green and bam the car next to me would bolt out into the intersection like a bat out of hell.

I would just slowly mope along. So proud of myself :imcool:

Never was into racing much. Sometimes there would be a cop around and I would get to watch the other guy get pulled over.

One time there was two chippys at a light next to me. The light turned green, and I drove on.... at a normal legal speed.

After leaving the intersection I noticed that the two chippys where not next to me. Thats because they were behind me. And they were wanting me to pull over. I started getting alot of that, so I got rid of the cop magnet. :imapolice:

God Bless

I prefer the challenge of working on the new cars...definitely not for the timid Over the last few years, I have worked on a number of cars though.

I currently own:
modified 1998 Toyota Corolla
stock 1999 Nissan Maxima

Definately older vehicles, trucks preffered.
I like being able to climb right into the engine compartment to crank on something.
