Nope...I believe it's celebrating death, and witchcraft.

We do celebrate a harvest in the fall, but it's nothing like holloween

This is honestly a subject I feel so . . .zealous about, that I don't often speak of it simply because of how adamant I am against halloween.

I live in an area where paganism is the "normal" belief, where witch covens are often found, and Christianity is . . . well, God has provided one light to shine, and I pray that the light continues to shine until the day He calls me elsewhere.

Halloween isn't a harmless "holiday." It shouldn't be celebrated by the children of God, nor even touched by them.

Our church started an "in house" Kidz Kandy Karnival several years ago. It was held at church and had a huge turnout, a lot being for outreach ministry. NOW we have well outgrown church and was blessed to be accepted by a local mall. We have had over 1000 children and parents attend this dying mall. We have use of all the empty stores where games are set up, Christian entertainment, craft project, and a huge maze that is in 2 stores. We have had such a positive feedback from the community giving a safe and Christian space for what is such a negative holiday.

Halloween has never been much of a big deal over here, but things are slowly creeping in, you see far more Halloween stuff in the shops than when I was growing up. To combat the growing influence we have a Light Party at the Church which is enormously popular. Mainly a fun evening with games, food and music.

Halloween is the celebration of satan and everything that he stands for.
I do not even give out as much as a tract on that night, nor do I answer my door to trick or treaters. There are 364 other days that God has made, that we as children of God can give out tracts, and so on that night I gve satan no recognition whatsoever.

1Th 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

We don't do anything for halloween. My neighbor across the street decorates for it in September. She really goes all out, but she is Wiccan, so that sort of explains it. I have had the opportunity to share the gospel with her; unfortunately she avoids me most of the time.

Erika does go to my mom’s church for fun and games. We are hoping to get something going for our church next year.

I think satan just laughs at us on Halloween. His attacks are much more sinister. However, the biggest thing that bothers me about halloween is when parents dress their kids up like devil's. It is a little hard for any non- believer to worry about Satan in this little red suit with horns and a tail. *sheesh* If they could only see

I do not "celebrate" halloween but I do dress up and get silly as I work in a nursing home on a locked alzheimers unit and my residents love it. I believe that halloween is what you believe it to represent and personally I believe it reprsents a kids time to Trick or Treat and a fun evening for my Mother (who takes off from work to watch the kids have fun}
